webinar

A webinar on the future of skills and technology. 3 exceptional speakers. And you’re invited!

The European Commission (EC) recently announced that more than ¾ of European Union (EU) companies are struggling to find workers with the necessary skills. That’s a staggering number. And these labor and skills shortages are highlighted in Eurofound and the European Labour Authority’s reports, which show that there is great demand for jobs in software, followed by sectors including engineering. Meanwhile, the EC’s 2030 Digital Compass targets at least 20 million employed ICT specialists in the EU.

But how will these skills shortages be addressed and where will so many ICT specialists be sourced? These are crucial questions for both businesses and entrepreneurs, HR specialists, students, and job seekers alike.

Luckily, StorsenDigital can help uncover the answers in our upcoming webinar titled “Digital Marketplace – Future of Work – Awareness in Business Process Outsourcing”. During the insightful session, all participants will gain much more clarity about the risks involved for businesses and how these can be mitigated and improved with the right mix of skills and tech during challenging times.

What you can expect: Meet the speakers

For the purpose of the webinar, we have carefully selected three outstanding speakers to share their thoughts and insights with you on future-proofing businesses and how to accommodate changing shifts in technology for job seekers and students. So, without further ado, below you will find a brief background on what exceptional value each speaker brings to the table.

Nedžad Piric: Education following demography and business trends

With an MBA degree to his name and a current PhD candidate in the digital economy, economics, and business, we think there is no one better positioned to kick-off the first session of our webinar than Nedžad Piric

A World Economic Forum member, Digital Transformation & Smart Cities Director, Member of the Advisory Board for Sanford Royce, and holding various HR, advisory, consultancy, and university teaching positions in Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as abroad for multiple organizations, Nedžad will discuss current and future trends as well as the importance and role of education following demography and business trends.

The biggest takeaway for students and job seekers will be to get ready for a new reality of lifetime learning. As for businesses, it’s vital to ensure that you have great governance structures and development programs in place for your staff, unless you are solely relying on third-party workforce solutions. This is just a hint of what you can expect and it’s a session you don’t want to miss out on!

Tarik Altumbabic: Business trends – shortage of resources accelerating automation

Tarik Altumbabic has a rich career history, starting with United Nations (UN) peacekeeping, to holding various high-level positions for multiple organizations, culminating in being the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of StorsenDigital for the past 12+ years. As a major player in the Central and Eastern European marketplace, StorsenDigital has mastered the art of aligning organizational goals and needs with the right talent and the right solutions at the right time to ensure their seamless and unobstructed growth.

Tarik’s focus during the webinar will be on business trends, including a shortage of resources that is accelerating automation. But what does this mean for students and job seekers as well as HR professionals and entrepreneurs? For starters, there is a global shortfall of resources. Meanwhile, automation is driving demographic changes, including skilled migration.

As a result of the insights that Tarik will share, students and job seekers should be ready for lifetime learning and broadening their perspectives as they are increasingly becoming citizens of the world. Businesses, on the other hand, should not refrain from pursuing big goals. There are vast opportunities to tap into a global resource pool with StorsenDigital. All this and more is what all participants will find in Tarik’s presentation.

What’s more, is that he is always on the lookout for open-source alternatives that can improve the exchange of data and information to keep everyone informed. Fedja also has experience in teaching information systems, web design, information architecture, and internet culture and he believes that every problem has a solution.

During his talk at our webinar, all participants will learn about how technology is changing workforce landscapes. Current technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Middleware will be explored, while he will also talk about quantum technology and the implications of whether machines are taking over.

Students and job seekers listening to his insightful presentation will walk away with the knowledge of new trends that they should keep up with to remain on board.
